DEKRA is a popular vehicle inspection company and recently it supervised the successful test run of the Volkswagen Golf TDI BlueMotion. The Golf TDI BlueMotion proved itself to be a real three-litre car on a trip from Nantes to Copenhagen. With its 110 PS engine the consumed exactly 2.92 litre of diesel per 100 km, returning a record-breaking 97 mpg. The distance between the two destinations is 1,602 kilometers and the car completed it on a single 50 liter tank of fuel.
