After making its debut at the Germany’s W├Ârthersee festival, the Volkswagen Design Vision GTI has is being showcased at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The car was designed by a team led by Klaus Bischoff, Head of Design of Volkswagen Brand. In comparison to the standard model, this Mark 7 GTI based concept features outward-drew C-pillars and sills, thus creating more room for wider front and rear tracks. It also equips specially developed 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235 tires out front and 275 tires at the rear.

The standard GTI has plenty of horsepower, especially the European Performance model which develops up to 230 hp, the Design Vision GTI is the pinnacle of the range with close to 503 hp produced at 6500 rpm. Unlike the regular GTI which is powered by a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine with a single turbo, the concept is powered by a 3.0-liter
