Buick New Riviera Concept made its global debut at Shanghai Auto Show 2013

The new Buick Riviera concept vehicle made its global debut on last Friday evening in Shanghai. It is the fourth global Riviera concept developed jointly by GM’s Shanghai GM and Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC) joint ventures in Shanghai. Combining the avant-garde aesthetics and advanced technology, the new Riviera’s elegant design is inspired by dynamic nature of water. Its athletic shape, distinct ambiance and deeply sculpted lines reflect the essence of the vibrant nature of a moving river.

The exterior flaunts many of the original exterior lines of the 2007 Buick Riviera concept. The new grille design is said to be inspired by the feathers of a swan. Besides it, an updated waterfall grille, wing-shaped daytime running lights and gull-wing doors further complements its exterior aesthetics. One of the most notable features of Riviera is its dual-mode wireless plug-in hybrid electric vehicle propulsion system (PHEV). PHEV enables car to be charged



LaFerrari, Maranello’s hybrid supercar makes everyone stuck at Auto Shanghai 2013

After Geneva, LaFerrari, the Maranello’s hybrid supercar from Ferrari again steals the show and makes everyone stuck at auto Shanghai 2013. LaFerrari’s Architecture : LaFerrari, the first hybrid from the Prancing Horse has been successful in attaining ideal weight distribution (59% at the rear) and a compact wheelbase despite of extra weight of hybrid system. Consequently, all the mass is shifted between its two axles and as close as possible to the floor to lower its centre of gravity by 35 millimetres to ensure dynamic handling.

Volkswagen bold hybrid SUV, CrossBlue Coupé Concept, premiered at Shanghai Motor Show

Volkswagen bold hybrid concept of SUV, the CrossBlue Coupé Concept, is premiered in the most prestigious auto exhibit in China – the Shanghai Motor Show 2013. In the showcase, Volkswagen also present its all-new Jetta, Volkswagen Gran Lavida and all-electric with the ground breaking fuel economy of 0.9 l/100 km[approx. 313 mpg], the Volkswagen XL1.  The new SUV concept in the shape of the CrossBlue Coupé is built on Volkswagen’s MQB architecture, the CrossBlue Coupé highlights the future drive train possibilities and is a short-wheelbase version of the previous CrossBlue concept.

CrossBlue has a plug-in hybrid system consists of a transverse 3.6-liter turbocharged V-6 making 295 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, a front electric motor making 54 hp, and a rear motor making 114 hp. It also generates  an impressive combined output of 415 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Mated with six-speed dual-clutch gearbox and centre tunnel-mounted 9.8 kW-hr lithium-ion battery pack, this 4,889 mm-long



BMW attractive line-up display at Shanghai Motor Show 2013

BMW has premiered its new Concept X4 at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, along with the attractive lineup display of BMW X5 xDrive 35i, BMW X6 xDrive 40i, BMW X6 M, BMW M6 Gran Coupe, BMW i8 Concept, BMW i3 Concept, BMW Concept Active Tourer, BMW ActiveHybrid 7, BMW ActiveHybrid 3, BMW 740Li , BMW 530i Accessories, BMW 535i Gran Turismo, BMW Individual 650i xDrive Gran Coupe, BMW 535Li, BMW 118i and BMW 125i. BMW Concept X4 : Joining the BMW’s line up of X series following X1, X3, X5 and X6, BMW Concept X4 is being touted as the future of the BMW’s X generation.

The BMW Concept X4 wonderfully blends the luxury and ruggedness of its X series of SUVs and crossovers with the swoopy looks of a coupe. The car will have just four seats and is slightly shorter in length and height than the X6 adorned with large 21-inch light-alloy wheels



Qoros the young automotive brand from China made its public debut with the premiere of the Qoros 3 Sedan

Maserati Ghibli makes its world premiere at Shanghai Motor Show 2013

With the launch of 2014 Ghibli at Shanghai Motor Show, following the premiere of the new Quattroporte at the Detroit Auto Show held this year, the Italian auto car maker “Maserati” will have two 4-door saloons together for sale for the first time in history, which are built to deliver best performance and luxury. The all new Ghibli is a driver focused model maintaining visible similarities with Quattroporte and will be taking on the likes of the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Both the Quattroporte and the Ghibli saloons produce two different power outputs from their turbo-charged V6 petrol. At launch Ghibli will be available with two turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engines and an eight-speed automatic transmission.The base engine is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with power of 243 kW (330 hp) and 500 Nm of torque and can accelerate to 100km/h in just 5.6 seconds. Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupé Concept SUV set to debut at Shanghai Motor Show 2013

Volkswagen is about to pull the wrap off its new SUV concept in the shape of the CrossBlue Coupé at 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. Built on Volkswagen’s MQB architecture, the CrossBlue Coupé highlights the future drive train possibilities and is a short-wheelbase version of the previous CrossBlue concept. The CrossBlue Coupe is adorned with clean and elegant ambience with soft Nappa leather in “Anthracite Pearl” and “Asphalto. It has also introduced two-color ambient lighting reconciling the different drive modes of the vehicle.

Citroën unleashes DS Wild Rubis SUV Concept ahead its debut at Shanghai Auto Show 2013

Sublimating the genes of DS line, Citroën’s DS Wild Rubis concept reveals the possible future styling direction for SUV model of Citroen’s DS sub-brand, the quasi-premium offshoot of Citroen’s premium range. Featuring LEd headlights with ‘scrolling’ indicators like an Audi R8, height similar to Mercedes ML-class-sized and taillights inspired by Citroen’s Numero 9 concept car, it will not be an exaggeration to call ‘Wild Rubis Concept’ as one of the best expressions of inspiration.

Moreover, it could even challenge some of the premium car brands like BMW, Audi and Mercedes. Driven by the full-hybrid, plug-in technology, DS Wild Rubis Concept’ impeccably combines DS formal language with the powerful proportions of SUVs. It was earlier predicted that the Citroën DS Wild Rubis concept will be a production-ready extension of the Numero 9 sports-wagon concept previewed at the Beijing show almost a year ago. Nissan ‘FRIEND-ME’ concept will premiere at Shanghai Motor Show 2013

Nissan is all set to bring new concept car – “FRIEND-ME” – targeting young audience in China with its exciting next generation design, while the four-seater features an interior with distinctive center-console that enables - One Mind Connectivity among all aboard by sharing information equally. The innovative FRIEND-ME Concept will be launched at 2013 Shanghai Motor Show with the beautiful presence of 20 cars from Nissan[China] Investment Co., Limited, together with Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company[DFL-PV] and Zhengzhou Nissan Automobile Co., Limited[ZNA].

Among the Nissan’s center of the showcase at the 2013 Auto Shanghai, which starts from April 21st, will have the Nissan GT-R, Quest and Murano, and its newly-launched global sedan -Nissan Teana.
