All New Volkswagen Golf R Unveiled At Detroit Motor Show 2014

Volkswagen’s booth at the North American International Motor Show had a large number of visitors this year and the sole reason for was the all new Volkswagen Golf R. This is the all new hatch of the Golf family and happens to be the most powerful Golf ever developed. Yes it is true. The 2014 Volkswagen Golf R is the most powerful Golf yet and features a range of improvements over the 2013 Golf R. Powering the 2014 Golf R is an improved EA888 four-cylinder turbocharged engine featuring direct-injection.

This 2.0 liter TSI unit produces an estimated 290 hp at 5500 rpm, a 34 hp boost over its predecessor, and 280 pound-feet of max torque available between 1800 rpm and 5500 rpm. The improvements made in terms of power and torque are courtesy of water-cooled exhaust gas channels, dual injection system with direct and multi-port injection, fully-electronic coolant control system



Audi ALLROAD Shooting Brake Concept Unveiled At 2014 NAIAS

A couple of days back we reported Audi is going to showcase an all new concept SUV at the 2014 North American International Auto Show. Well, keeping its promise, Audi has unveiled the Audi AllRoad Shooting Brake Concept at the Detroit Motor Show. The Shooting Brake Concept is based on e-tron quattro configuration, which essentially is a new form Audi has implemented for the very first time. It combines Audi’s Quattro all wheel drive and a hybrid drivetrain, leading to an all new language. “The show car combines sex appeal, highly efficient e-tron-quattro technology that produces 300 kW of power yet only consumes 1.9 l/100 km (123.80 US mpg) of fuel and cutting-edge electronic applications,” says Prof.

2015 Subaru WRX STI Unveiled At North American International Auto Show

Subaru has unveiled the 2015 Subaru WRX STI at the 2014 North American International Auto Show a.k.a Detroit Motor Show. The WRX STI is Subaru’s flagship model and the 2015 iteration only gets better. To add a pinch of exclusivity to this model, Subaru will also offer a limited edition model called WRX STI Launch Edition featuring a unique WR Blue paint, gold BBS forged alloy wheels and unique interior trim. Only 1,000 such limited edition WRXs will be made. Powering the car is the legendary 2.5-liter turbocharged intercooled 4-cylinder BOXER engine that makes use of Dual Active Valve Control System (Dual AVCS) and produces 305 horsepower (SAE) at 6,000 rpm and 290 lb.-ft.

2015 Acura TLX Prototype Showcased At Detroit Motor Show

Acura has unveiled the 2015 Acura TLX Prototype at the 2014 North American International Auto Show a.k.a Detroit Motor Show. The 2015 TLX Prototype gives a preview of the 2015 TLX performance luxury saloon that is scheduled to launch later this year at Acura dealerships across US. “The Acura TLX Prototype is a precursor of some amazing things we have in store for our Acura sedan customers,” said Mike Accavitti, senior vice president, American Honda Motor, Co., Inc. “As you would expect from an Acura, this completely new model will offer innovative technologies that break down the barriers between the driver and the machine to deliver a more intuitive, connected and personal driving experience.” Acura has followed a “Red Carpet Athlete” theme which focuses on a perfect mixture of luxury and performance.

2015 Lexus RC F Unveiled: The Most Powerful Lexus Yet

Lexus has launched the much awaited 2015 RC F performance car at the 2014 North American International Auto Show a.k.a Detroit Motor Show. Unveiled at the motor show, the the 2015 RC F celebrates brand’s 25th anniversary. To celebrate this special year, Lexus has fitted the RC F with the company’s most powerful V8 engine yet. Visually, the RC F is a treat, featuring a radical design that is on the lines of the RC coupe but is more aggressive. It features a unique version of the signature spindle grille with an ‘F’ motif embedded in the mesh, a higher set bonnet, 10 spoke 19-inch forged aluminium wheels, functional air cooling and aerodynamic elements, quad trapezoidal exhaust outlets.
