Hyundai PassoCorto: An Ultra Light-Weight Sports Car Concept At Geneva

Lately, Hyundai has been sincerely working towards developing cars specifically for the European market, and that too for young generation. In an attempt to show the company’s potential, Hyundai has unveiled its latest concept car at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Named Hyundai PassoCorto, it is an ultra lightweight sports car concept that will be aimed at Generation Y consumers. The design of the sports car concept was created by students at the renowned Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Turin, Italy.

Sixteen students pursuing Transportation Design masters’ course at IED were asked to design the car that they would like to buy and drive and the result is the PassoCorto. The name of the car is an Italian word which means ‘short wheelbase’. Although not much has been disclosed about the car by Hyundai, the manufacturer did tell us a couple of facts though. Hyundai Intrado Concept To Be Unveiled At Geneva Motor Show

In an attempt to draw maximum attention of the visitors at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Hyundai is going to unveil an interesting concept car. Named Hyundai Intrado, the car takes a fresh approach at concept vehicles and looks futuristic enough. More than just a concept, the Intrado is Hyundai’s vision of what the future cars should be like. To be unveiled at Geneva, the Intrado is an example of future mobility, cars that would be easy to use, intuitive in nature, and adapt according to the user’s lifestyle.

As for the name of the Intrado concept, it comes from the underside of an aircraft’s wing. The exterior of the Intrado is in line with Hyundai’s fluidic sculpture design language, which exists on most of the new generation vehicles.
