2015 Fiat 500 Abarth And Abarth Cabrio Get Automatic Transmission Option

At the 2014 New York International Auto Show, Fiat is going to showcase the 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth and Abarth Cabrio models with a new, much-anticipated feature. Can you guess the one we are talking about? These high performance 500 models have offered plenty of features except for an automatic gearbox, but the 2015 iterations of the same will be available with an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. The new 6-speed transmission will be available alongside the standard 5-speed manual unit and have been specifically tuned to deliver performance.

To match the performance level of the potent engine that powers the 500 Abarth models, Fiat has added more clutch plates and have heat-treated the unit’s components to withstand high torque outputs. There will also be a Sport mode which when enabled offers an even more engaging experience. The new automatic transmission will not be available on the 500 Abarth and Abarth



2014 Fiat 500 With TwinAir Engine And Cult Variant At Geneva Motor Show

Fiat is going to unveil the 2014 Fiat 500 at the 84th International Motor Show which starts in Geneva tomorrow. The new Fiat 500 has been improved both in terms styling and technological features, and the most important introduction is a new, segment-first, 7 inch TFT digital instrument panel. Developed in collaboration with Magnetti Marelli, the display provides all the information relevant about various features of the car. While the earlier versions came fitted with analogue dials, the TFT display is a major step up yet it seems extremely familiar to the previous layout.

The center of the screen, which displays the car by default, can be configured to display distance travelled, fuel consumption, etc. The same screen also warns the driver in case of low fuel, open doors etc. Apart from the all new screen, another important addition is the new TwinAir engine. 2014 Fiat 500L Beats Special Edition Model Announced With New Engines, Features

We all know how popular Fiat’s 500 family of vehicles is, and to get that extra attention of potential buyers Fiat has announced a new limited edition model of Fiat 500L. Dubbed the Fiat 500L Beats edition, as you must have guessed by now, the model has been developed in collaboration with premium audio brand Beats by Dr. Dre. To be honest, it is one of the most eye-catching hatchbacks seen lately, thanks to features like a two-tone gray/black paint scheme, 17-inch alloy wheels, extended wheel arches, black-finished side skirts and bumper inserts, mirror fairings, front “whiskers” and satin chrome finished tailgate handle.

The distinctive ‘Beats’ inspired look is further accentuated by red brake calipers and red inserts in mirror fairings. The interior of the Beats edition is also very special.
