2015 Volkswagen e-Golf Coming To US By 2014 End

The US market is going to get its first fully electric vehicle in the form of the 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf this year. As per the official word, Volkswagen is going to introduce the 2015 e-Golf in US by the end of 2014. This all new model will be available in four-door form only and will boast LED headlights with daytime running lights, a unique aluminum wheel design, a blue accented radiator grille and plenty of other goodies. Powering the 2015 e-Golf is an EEM-85 synchronous permanent-magnet AC electric motor that produces 115 hp and peak torque of 199 pound-feet.

With class leading torque output, the e-Golf accelerates to 25 mph in 4.2 seconds and to 60 mph in nearly 10 seconds. The motor helps the car achieve an electronically limited top speed of 87 mph. Daimler-BYD Unveil Denza Electric Vehicle In Beijing

Shenzhen BYD Daimler New Technology, a joint venture between Daimler and BYD has unveiled their first production vehicle at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.  Christened Denza, the all new electric vehicle shows off a perfect blend of Daimler’s expertise in safety technologies and BYD’s advancements in battery technology. The Denza is China’s first all-electric vehicle and is expected to go on sale in September 2014. Pricing will start from RMB 369,000. According to the creators of the car, it is the result of four years of research and development and finally the found the correct formulae for an electric urban commuter.

Toyota i-ROAD Public Trials Begin In Japan

Electric vehicles are the need of the hour and car manufacturers around the globe are experimenting with new zero emissions vehicles. Toyota, for instance, has developed a radical-looking yet promising vehicle called Toyota i-ROAD which is a three-wheeled electric powered concept offering an interesting cross of a motorcycle and a car. Volkswagen has started taking orders in the UK for its one and only vehicle that bagged two prestigious awards, the European Car of The Year 2013 and World Car of the Year. Kia Soul EV To Get More Powerful, 200 KM-range Battery Pack

The upcoming, latest version Kia Soul EV is going to get a major update in the form of a more advanced battery. Kia has confirmed that the forthcoming Soul EV will equip a class-leading battery energy density of 200 Wh/kg, a combined effort made by Kia Motors Corporation and SK Innovation. The battery has a total capacity of 27 kWh, thanks to the development team who managed to pack 192 lithium-ion polymer battery cells in 8 modules. For the Soul EV’s battery cells, Kia used Nickel-rich NCM (nickel-cobalt-manganese) cathode material.

The main reason of using this material is of its performance factor as the actual EV driving range is decided by the cathode itself. Renault ZOE Electric Available With New Battery Hire Option In UK

It was last June when Renault launched its flagship electric vehicle, the ZOE, in the UK and immediately the brand was in the limelight. The ZEO is one of the UK’s most affordable electric vehicles and has shown satisfactory sales over the the past few months. Now Renault wants even more customers to go for the ZOE and hence, has launched a new battery rental service for UK customers. Nissan BladeGlider EV Concept Revealed

World’s leading EV manufacturer, Nissan, has revealed its latest creation which it believes to be not just a prototype of an upcoming vehicle but also a proposal for the future direction of Nissan electric vehicle (EV) development. Dubbed the Nissan BladeGlider, the car features a fresh electric vehicle driving experience based on peerless technology and exotic styling. The design of the car is revolutionary and leading the project design team was Francois Bancon, division general manager of Product Strategy and Product Planning at Nissan.

Nissan ZEOD RC Electric Racecar Unveiled At Nismo Headquarters
