BMW i3 Extended Range Version On Offer For $45,300; To Arrive In US In 2014

Defining electro-mobility in its true form is BMW’s ‘i’ range of cars that includes the BMW i3 and BMW i8. During July this year, BMW announced the pricing of its electric hatchback i.e. the i3 which turned out to be a little more than expected. Furthermore, the very fact that it is an all electric car with a not so overwhelming range made many potential buyers think if it was worth spending money on. What we hear next from the German automaker is the extended range options that will be offered on the BMW i3.

While the base version of the car is available for $41,350, for an additional $3,950 buyers would get a rear-mounted 650cc, 34 hp, two-cylinder, gasoline-powered Range Extender generator which offers roughly double the range as the base model.
