Acura Unveils 2015 TLX At 2014 New York International Auto Show

Acura has unveiled the 2015 Acura TLX performance-luxury saloon at the 84th New York International Auto Show. Developed under the Red Carpet Athlete Theme, the 2015 TLX features an updated styling, new engines, new technologies and new transmission options. Powering the new TLX is two new, high-output direct injected i-VTEC petrol engines: a 2.4 liter, 4-cylinder unit that produces a decent 206 horses and peak torque of 182 lb.-ft, and a direct injected 3.5 liter SOHC i-VTEC V6 featuring Variable Cylinder Management that  produces 290 hp and peak torque of 267 lb.-ft.

The V6 engine offers 13 lb-ft and 10 hp more than the 2014 TL 3.5 liter engine. The standard 2.4 liter unit is mated with an all new 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (8DCT) with torque converter and becomes the world’s DCT  with a torque converter on a production vehicle. Acura TLX Production Model To Debut At 2014 New York Auto Show

Since long we have been hearing about the TLX, one of the latest concepts cars from well know Japanese car manufacturer Acura. The latest news in regard to the Acura TLX is that the production model of the same is going to debut at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. The 2015 Acura TLX is going to be midsize luxury saloon but is claimed to be deliver higher levels of refinement and luxury. Moreover the car will offer unmatched performance thanks to the family of next generation powertrains that will be offered by Acura.

2015 Acura TLX Prototype Showcased At Detroit Motor Show

Acura has unveiled the 2015 Acura TLX Prototype at the 2014 North American International Auto Show a.k.a Detroit Motor Show. The 2015 TLX Prototype gives a preview of the 2015 TLX performance luxury saloon that is scheduled to launch later this year at Acura dealerships across US. “The Acura TLX Prototype is a precursor of some amazing things we have in store for our Acura sedan customers,” said Mike Accavitti, senior vice president, American Honda Motor, Co., Inc. “As you would expect from an Acura, this completely new model will offer innovative technologies that break down the barriers between the driver and the machine to deliver a more intuitive, connected and personal driving experience.” Acura has followed a “Red Carpet Athlete” theme which focuses on a perfect mixture of luxury and performance.

2015 Acura TLX GT Race Car Unveiled At 2014 North American Auto Show

Acura Motorsports has taken the wraps off their latest race car, the 2015 Acura TLX GT at the North American International Auto Show. While Acura has been competing in many international race series, this year it plans to move up the ladder and compete in Pirelli World Challenge Championship. Acura Motorsports will once again partner RealTime Racing for the top category of the Pirelli World Challenge. On the track, the TLX GT Race Car will go head to head with the Audi R8 LMS, Cadillac CTS-V, Chevrolet Corvette, Dodge Viper, Lamborghini Gallardo, Mercedes SLS, Nissan GTR, Porsche 911 and Ferrari 458.
