Subaru’s XV compact crossover is quite popular in market and to push its popularity a bit further, the manufacturer has announced the launch of the Subaru XV Black, a new limited edition variant.
The first and, evidently, the most exclusive thing about the car is its Crystal Black Silica paint along with a number of visual additions crafted just for the limited edition. These unique additions give a boost to the rugged, go-anywhere appeal of this off-roader. The additions include front, rear and side silver-resin underguards, front and rear mudflaps, a cargo step panel and a foldable cargo tray. On the inside, the Black model features a set of heavy duty rubber floor mats.
The XV has received a class-leading five-star Euro NCAP crash safety rating, which is also one of the highest scores for child occupant protection ever recorded, making it a perfect choice for young families.
Being a crossover designed for everyday use in an urban or out of town environment, the ‘go anywhere’ XV boasts the highest ground clearance along with a lowest centre of gravity in the entire segment. On the features end, the Subaru’s XV Black Limited Edition comes loaded with a host of standard features including Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system - providing world-class hazard avoidance capabilities, front, side, curtain and knee airbags, 17-inch alloy wheels, daytime running lights, heated front seats, wiper de-icers, cruise control, folding door mirrors, dual-zone air-conditioning, rear view safety camera, Bluetooth, HID headlamps, and rear privacy glass.
The engine line-up includes two options: a 2.0 litre Boxer diesel engine mated to a six speed manual transmission and a 2.0 litre Boxer petrol unit coupled with a Lineartronic automatic transmission. With its lightweight construction and efficient engines, the XV is able to return a combined 50.4 mpg with CO2 emissions standing at 146 g/km.
