The 2014 Easter Jeep Safari begins from tomorrow in Moab, Utah, and for the very special event Jeep has once again teamed up with Mopar. Together, these two brands will not bring one or two but six new off-road ready concept models, each of which will arrive with a variety of sporty bits and custom exterior elements.
Unlike the radical concepts that we have seen in the previous years, this year’s concept models look far more attainable, meaning existing customers will easily be able to customize their vehicles using parts provided by Mopar and Jeep to attain the look projected by these concepts. So without wasting any time, let us talk about the new models one by one.
Jeep will be showcasing three different concept models of Jeep Wrangler: Wrangler Level Red, Wrangler MOJO and Wrangler Maximum Performance. On the technical front, the Level Red and Mojo models have some commonalities including Jeep Performance Parts 2-inch lift kit, Dana 44 front and rear axles, Jeep Performance Parts Rock-Trac transfer case and a 3.6 liter V6 engine which is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission.
However, on the aesthetics front, these two models are quite different. The Level Red features a Pitch Black exterior and TorRed graphics, Rubicon 10th Anniversary bumpers, an under-bumper skid plate, 17 inch wheels shod with 35-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires, Katzkin leather upholstery and more. The Mojo gets a Bright Orange exterior, Jeep Performance Parts “Shorty” bumpers, prototype beadlock wheels with 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires, lead head and taillights, and several other features.
The Wrangler Maximum Performance model is painted in Mopar blue and is technically more equipped. It equips a 4-inch lift kit, two Dana 60 axles, a JPP “Stinger” front bumper, Rubicon rock rails, an under-bumper skid plate, a windshield mounted LED bar and beadlock wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFG Mud Terrain tires.
The Grand Cherokee Trail Warrior is a diesel powered off-roader that enhances the already capable SUV to a whole new level. The model features Quadra-Lift air suspension, a 20 inch aluminum wheel set wrapped in All-Terrain BFGoodrich tires, Jeep Performance Parts rock rails and tow hooks and more. The exterior is finished in Mojave Sand paint while the interior features several accents in Satin Black.
The Cherokee Adventurer is based on the Tailhawk 4×4 and features a heavily armored underbody, JPP rock rails, 17-inch wheels shod with BFG All-Terrain tires, perforated black Katzkin leather seats, and plenty of convenience features. Last but not the least, the Cherokee Dakar is the most extreme of the Cherokees and will arrive with a very aggressive styling. It features a Silver Steel Stain exterior finish with graphics in Flame Red, 17-inch wheels covered with 33-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires, a Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, Katzkin leather black seats and much, much more.
