Rally America National Championship followed Super Rally’s success by introducing the 4 rounds U.S. Rallycross Championship, the 1st European style rallycross events on American soil at the New Jersey Motorsports Park. Never before has Americans seen top U.S. rally drivers racing wheel-to-wheel against Europe’s best rallycross drivers in amazing small turbo-charged, 4 wheel-drive exotic machines in a relatively small mixed surface track.

In 2012 Rally America sanctioned the U.S. Rallycross Series at New Jersey Motorsports Park with four more high-energy rallycross events in addition to operating the Rally America National Championship. With an excellent mix of more than thirty Regional stage rally events, a 6-event Rally America National Championship and four U.S. Rallycross Series events making up the 2012 Rally America schedule, it’s certainly a busy season.  But 2013 promises to be bigger and better with additional stage rally events now being planned and even more rallycross events added to next year’s event calendar.

About Rally America
Based in Williston, VT, Rally America, Inc. sanctions the Rally America National Championship, the premier performance rally championship in the United States, and a number of regional rally championships from coast-to-coast.

The six-event Rally America National Championship stops at venues across the country, from Seattle, Washington to Newry, Maine. Rally America competitors can reach speeds of well over 100 mph in modified street cars on natural-terrain courses consisting of gravel, dirt or snow over a course covering hundreds of miles.

Rally America’s initial purpose was to support the Sports Car Club of America’s (SCCA) ProRally Championship with timing and scoring efforts.  At the conclusion of the 2004 championship, the SCCA transferred the commercial and sanctioning rights of the ProRally Championship into the hands of Rally America, Inc.

Rally America then created its own rally championship in 2005, which has attracted top rally drivers from the international racing community and action sports industry over the years. Rally America is particularly known as the series that helped begin the rally careers of action sport’s superstars Travis Pastrana, Ken Block and Dave Mirra.

As a result, rally racing has been featured in ESPN’s X Games since 2006 with Rally America’s involvement.  X Games rally first began as performance rally and quickly evolved into Super Rally in 2010, which is six rally cars racing side-by-side in short heats over tarmac and gravel surfaces.

Rally America followed Super Rally’s success by introducing the four round U.S. Rallycross Championship, the first European style rallycross events on American soil at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.
