The new Kia Pro_cee’d GT official photos are revealed as the high performance models from KIA – the 3-door Kia pro_cee’d GT and the 5-door Kia cee’d GT, both are going for their showcasing at Geneva Motor Show in March 2013. These two new GT models will have new 1.6 Litre Engine with gasoline direct injection technology and featuring the twin-scroll turbocharger for more dynamic power. Both model engine has good horsepower by 204 [152 kilo-Watts] at 6000 RPM which is an increment of 51% of power and a torque of 265 Nm between 1750 to 4500 RPM, which has an increment of 61%. The pro_cee’d GT and cee’d GT are equipped with 6-speed manual gearbox with capability of sprinting performance of 0 to 100 km/hour in mere 7.9 seconds.
Additional important refinements has been done to the suspension and chassis system which give them supreme capabilities of power and performance. On exterior part, the featuring of distinctive head-light treatment is quite eye-catching with lamp clusters, deeper bumpers, new grilles, distinctive 18-inch alloy wheels, special paint treatment and red brake calipers. To make the unique and attractive in their segment, the models are featured with pairs of jewelry-like, 4-point LED daytime running lights. While on interiors, the GT models are featuring the luxury of Recaro sports seats, alloy pedals and quality surface materials with performance based ambiance for the driver and passengers.
On the suspension and damping, the front of both model has completely independent subframe-mounted MacPherson struts, with stiffer coil springs, gas-filled shock absorbers, thicker anti-roll stabiliser bar. While rear with completley independent subframe-mounted multi-links, stiffer coil springs and gas-filled shock absorbers.
The Kia pro_cee’d GT and cee’d GT will begin their production at Kia’s facility in Zilina in mid-May 2013 and then proceed for their sale in Europe from mid of 2013 with full prices and technical specifications just before the sale date.
