Infiniti Q70 Long Wheelbase And QX80 Limited Edition Models Debut In New York

Premium carmaker Infiniti has unveiled two new limited edition models at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. The new exclusive versions are based on two of Infiniti’s flagship models – the QX80 SUV and the Q70 sedan, and are called 2015 QX80 Limited and Q70L. These new models were announced alongside the entire 2015 Model Year lineup at the exhibition.

The 2015 Infiniti QX80 Limited starts from the point where the standard QX80 finishes. In addition to all those high-end features that are available on the QX80, the Limited edition model offers mild exterior upgrades and an even more plush interior. Under the hood of the car is a 5.6 liter V8 engine that produces 400 hp and to use all that power efficiently on the road, the car equips Hydraulic Body Motion Control system and Infiniti All-Mode AWD.

The inside appeal of the Limited QX80 has been enhanced by using a Truffle Brown color accompanied by silver, black and brown leathers and trim and wood inserts. On the exterior, a number of subtle changes have been adopted which include new LED high/low beam headlights, LED fog lights, LED turn signals and a new bumper.

The 2015 Infiniti Q70L is an extended version of the Q70 and features a 5.9 inch longer wheelbase. The additional inches of space greatly benefits the passengers when it comes to knee and legroom. Apart from the longer wheelbase the car also comes with a new double-arch grille featuring chrome surround and a waved mesh finish, new LED headlight, new front bumper and integrated fog lights, new trunklid shape, LED taillights and a rear finisher in chrome.

Powering the Q70L is a range of efficient yet powerful engines. The engine options list includes a 3.7 liter aluminum-alloy DOHC V6 putting out 330 hp, and a 5.6 liter Direct Injection Gasoline DOHC V8 that produces 416 hp and 414 lb-ft. A hybrid powertrain is also available which is rated at 360 hp.

The Q70, Q70L and QX80 will go on sale this fall while the QX80 Limited is expected to arrive in the winters.
