Kia Showcases Future Transportation Technology At 2014 CESEach year at the Consumer Electronics Show, car majors show off their innovative technologies aimed at making cars safer for the future. This year at the CES Kia Motors America is showcasing a collection of new and future technologies aimed at making driving experience safer, more dynamic and efficient in the near future. First up is the Kia KND-7 concept vehicle which is a four door coupe that makes is North American debut at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show. The car was designed under the direction of President and Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer at the Kia studio in Seoul.

Most interestingly the vehicle is just four meters long, features an ‘access-all-areas’ interior concept and has rearward-opening doors. Styling wise the car is sleek and compact and is influenced by the 2007 Kia Kee 2 + 2 concept. It is powered by a 1.6 liter GDI (gasoline direct injection) turbocharged

Ford C-Max Solar Energi Concept Car To Debut At CES 2013This year’s Consumer Electronics Show is going to be interesting as Ford is planning to debut its latest concept car at the venue. Ford C-MAX Solar Energi Concept is the car in question here which is ready to meet the masses in Las Vegas. Talking about the concept car, it is first of its kind sun powered vehicle aimed at offering performance levels comparable to conventional plug-in hybrids. The interesting fact is that since it is a solar powered vehicle it does not depend on electric grid for fuel as plug-in hybrids do.

Unlike plug-in hybrids which power their battery from an electrical socket, the C-MAX Solar Energi Concept utilizes a special concentrator that magnifies and directs intense sun rays to solar panels on the vehicle roof, thus harnessing the power of the sun. Audi Sport Quattro Laserlight Concept To Premier At CES 2014Audi is gearing up for the 2014 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) which is to be held from January 6 to 10, 2014 in Las Vegas where it plans to showcase a fascinating technology concept car. Dubbed the Audi Sport Quattro Laserlight Concept, the car is the modern avatar of the 1983 Audi Sport Quattro and packs the brand’s technological advances including user control and display interfaces, lighting technology and plug-in hybrid drive. The coupe concept is 4,602 mm (181.18 in) long,  1,964 mm (77.32 in) wide and 1,386 mm (54.57 in) tall, and features a wheelbase of 2,784 mm (109.61 in).

It will be presented in Plasma Red color that expresses power as well as emotional elegance. Being a Quattro model the car equips the dual headlights which, as per the German giant, is the future of lighting technology as it uses a combination of matrix LED and laser light
