Audi all-new 2014 Audi R8, now available on sale in United States

Adorned with race winning technologies and luxurious cosmetic characteristics, it is hard to imagine for many that Audi R8 is overdue for an update. As brilliants believe in constant improvement, Audi has unveiled the new 2014 Audi R8 for United States by premiering it in January 2013 at the NAIAS, in Detroit - representing the pinnacle of performance and technical brilliance.

Audi makers are intelligent enough to bring cosmetic changes and technical advancements without messing with its overall design. Here is a glimpse of technical upgrades, styling tweaks and other power packed characteristics featured in Audi R8 2014 model introduced in United States:

Available in two basic body styles: Coupe, and Spyder, the interior of Audi R8 is tweaked with many styling updates designed around the monoposto driver-oriented cockpit. It cuts a figure on any curb with its exotic looks and dramatic details. Audi R8 has also been embellished with several aesthetic changes throughout the vehicle. Some of the most noticeable changes are the shape of the headlights and taillights, newly designed full-LED headlights, LED accent lights, the hexagonal Singleframe® grille, new side mirrors and funky new sequential indicator in the rear.

The 2014 Audi R8 V 10 has been optimized with new seven-speed S Tronic transmission that improves its speed from zero to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 196 mph. On the other hand, Audi R8 V8 produces 430 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 186 mph.

2014 Audi R8 Spyder For US

New Audi R8 is available with a 430-horsepower V8 or a 525-horsepower V10. Sitting atop the R8 range, R8 V10 is the significant addition with 550 horsepower and 398 lb.-ft. of torque and is also 50 kilograms lighter than the bog standard V10 due to ceramic brakes, carbon fibre side blades, forged aluminium wheels, carbon brakes, aluminium suspension wishbones and a traditional suspension in place of the magnetic damping system. R8 V8 and V10 are also equipped with new waved breaks that reduce weight and improve brake cooling. Apart from it, it’s all new gear box is able to skip gears.

2014 Audi R8 Spyder Available On Sale In US

The R8 magnetic ride is improved with advanced technologies like Audi MMI Navigation plus, Bang & Olufsen® Sound System, launch control, Bluetooth, iPod connectivity, cruise control, rear view camera, and parking sensors. Besides it, Bluetooth is integrated into the seat-belt to minimize wind noise while speaking via the Bluetooth system. The new R8 badge appears on gearshift lever, slim trims door, the instrument cluster, multifunction sports steering wheel and on the start screen of the on-board monitor.

2014 Audi R8 Premium Interior For US

2014 Audi R8 in U.S. is now on sale from April 11th, 2013 and starts at $114,900. Pricing for R8 V10 starts at $151,200 and R8 V10 Plus starts at $170,545.
