Today, Peugeot has revealed the prices and specifications of its all new Peugeot 108 small car. The 2014 Peugeot 108 will be available in 3- and 5-door Hatchback or TOP cabriolet forms. All the models will be offered with a choice of two frugal, low-emitting petrol engines, including Peugeot’s PureTech 3-cylinder unit which was unveiled recently.
While the 108 is quite good looking in the standard attire, Peugeot will offer a host of colours, trims, themes and ambiences to make the hatchback even more appealing to customers who want a personalized vehicle.
If that is not enough for you, Peugeot has also added new segment-first features which, until recently, were exclusive only to premium saloons. These new features include Mirror Screen with MirrorLink technology, a high end infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen and DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity for modern day smartphones and steering wheel mounted controls.
The 2014 Peugeot 108 is offered in four trim levels: Access, Active, Allure and Feline. Starting with the Access trim, the list of standard equipment includes steering wheel-mounted controls, two rear ISOFIX mountings, ESP stability control, 6 airbags, USB/AUX capable audio system, remote central locking and LED daytime running lights. The Active models feature, in addition to the ones available on Access models, height-adjustable driver’s seat, air-conditioning, body-colored mirrors and door handles, 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system, Bluetooth and Mirror Screen.
The Allure models add front fog lights, 15-inch ‘Thorren’ alloy wheels, reversing camera, electric heated door mirrors, auto headlights, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob and Peugeot Open & Go. Last but not the least, the top of the line Feline trim adds leather upholstery, automatic dual zone air conditioning and chrome mirrors and door handles.
The 1.0 liter petrol engine that comes standard produces 68 hp and emits 95 g/km of CO2, while the 1.2 liter PureTech unit develops 82 hp and emits 99 g/km of CO2. The engines are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard but customers can opt for the 2-Tronic semi-automatic gearbox.
The pricing starts from £8,245 for the Hatch 3-door model and goes up to £12,245 for the 1.2 liter TOP Allure 5-door model.
