Subaru has introduced the all new 2015 Subaru Legacy sedan which is a much more improved over the last Legacy. Subaru claims it is the roomiest Legacy ever and is one of the most fuel efficient all wheel drive midsize sedan in its class. Apart from that, the 2015 Legacy is also packed with even more features which are mentioned in the following paragraphs.
Since the model is all new for 2015, the design should also be new. The 2015 Legacy features a sleeker coupe like profile complemented by an all aluminum hood, a more raked windshield, standard HID low-beam headlights, U-shape tail and brake lights, ORVM integrated turn indicators, and plenty of other bodily elements.
The 2015 Legacy is available with four and six cylinder BOXER engines, starting with the 2.5i which is powered by a double-overhead-cam (DOHC) FB series 2.5-liter BOXER engine which is good for 175 hp of power and 174 lb-ft of peak torque. The 2015 Legacy will also be available with a more powerful 3.6-liter BOXER engine that is capable of putting out 256 hp of power and a peak torque of 247 lb-ft. All the models equip a CVT, Incline Start Assist and the electronic Hill Holder System.
All Legacy models come with standard Lineartronic CVT and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Fuel efficiency figures for the Legacy 2.5i model stand at 26 mpg in city, 36 mpg on highway and 30 mpg combined, while the 6 cylinder model is rated at 20 mpg in city, 28 mpg on highway and 23 combined.
Talking about the standard features now, there is a a rear-view camera, new rollover sensor for side curtain airbags, new standard welcome lighting, Keyless Access & Start system, new available rear radar system, new type of airbag restraint, new front seat-cushion airbags, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, new Steering-Responsive Foglights, EyeSight driver-assist system featuring Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Vehicle Lane Departure Warning, and much more.
Subaru is also offering Limited trim line models that comes with standard perforated leather upholstery, 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, 4-way power adjustable front passenger seat, heated front seats, dual-mode heated rear seats, high-end surround sound audio system with 12 harman/kardon speakers etc. There is also a new infotainment system featuring a 6.2 inch multi touch screen as standard, while an upgraded version with 7.0 inch screen is also on offer.
