Recently, Lexus introduced the RC 350 sports coupe and RC F in the US and they were well received by the masses. But this is the not end as Lexus is going to expand the RC 350 lineup with an all new model which will be launched in the US this fall. Joining the RC 350 and RC F this year, is the all new 2015 Lexus RC 350 F SPORT, the pinnacle of this range.
Lexus is going to unveil the RC 350 F SPORT at the 84th International Motor Show a.k.a Geneva Motor Show in March. The RC is based on the GS sedan but is a completely new model. It features a shorter wheelbase than Lexus IS and has the same width as the GS, which make it livelier than the two when it comes to spirited driving.
The RC 350 F SPORT is the top of the range model and hence comes with its unique set of visual and mechanical elements. Technology wise the RC 350 F SPORT gets Adaptive Variable Suspension and also an optional Lexus Dynamic Handling system. Together, the systems provide unmatched driving experience both on track and on city roads.
The list of unique visual elements of the model include 19-inch F SPORT mesh alloy wheels finished in dark metallic pant, LGFA driver meter with moving center ring, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, a Silver Performance trim, Roja Red upholstery and more.
The Lexus Dynamic Handling system on the RC 350 F SPORT adds four wheel steering functionality which constantly monitors the speed of the vehicle, angle of the steering and driver inputs to turn all the four wheels by an optimum angle. The LDH system comprises of Dynamic Rear Steering and Variable Gear Ratio Steering systems which work on the rear and front of the vehicle respectively.
The system is extremely helpful both on low speeds and high speeds. On low speeds the rear wheels are turned in the direction opposite to that of the front wheels, while on high speeds they are aligned in the same direction.
