Alfa Romeo Launches 2014 4C, Giulietta And Mito Models At The Isle Of Man

Today, Alfa Romeo has launched the 2014 models of its well known cars at the Isle Of Man. We are talking about the 2014 Alfa Romeo Mito, Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Alfa Romeo 4C models that come with revised exteriors, revamped interiors and more features.

Starting with the 2014 Mito, the car has already gone on sale in the UK and comes with a number of styling enhancements, revised interior and advanced features. On the exterior is a new chrome finished grille, head lamp and tail lamp surrounds in titanium grey, sports rear bumper, tinted rear windows and a new “Matte Magnesio Grey” color option. The interior of the new Mito gets better plastics, new Uconnect infotainment system featuring a 5-inch touchscreen display, steering wheel remote controls, optional satellite navigation and more.

The Mito is available with 3 petrol and 2 diesel engines, featuring turbocharging and Start&Stop technologies. The Italian major is going to add a new 1.4 liter TB MultiAir engine which puts out 140 hp this year. The same will come mated to a ALFA TCT dry clutch transmission.

The 2014 Giulietta also comes with new engines, new technologies and revised styling. In brief, the exterior of the 2014 Giulietta benefits from new 16-, 17- and 18-inch alloy wheel designs, new grille design, new bezels for the fog lights, and three new exterior color options -Cobalto Blue, Luna Pearl and Metallo Bronze. On the inside the new Giulietta gets a new high quality dashboard, Uconnect multimedia system as standard, more conveniently placed AUX/USB ports, new steering wheel design, new door trims, and more.


The engine range is significantly improved, thus offering lower emissions and increased fuel efficiency. New for 2014 will be a 2.0 JTDM-2 engine capable of producing 150 hp. Compared to the 2.0JTDM-2 140 hp engine that it replaces, the new one emits a significant 9 g/km less of CO2. As for the trim levels, there will be four of them – Progression, Distinctive, Exclusive and Sportiva Nav.

Last but not the least, Alfa Romeo has made a comeback to the sports car category with the all new Alfa Romeo 4C. Featuring a monocoque built from carbon fiber, the 4C is one of the most potent vehicles in its segment and offers excellent dynamics. Powering the car is a 4-cylinder turbocharged 1750 petrol unit that puts out 240 hp and peak torque of 350 Nm. It takes 4.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph and has a top speed of 160 mph.


The 2014 Mito is priced from £14,350, while the 2014 Giulietta starts at £18,235. The pricing of the 2014 4C starts from £45,000.
