Talk about value for money, four door hatchbacks and Nissan’s Versa Note immediately makes it to the list. This value proposition is going to get even better as Nissan has added two new trim levels to the 2015 Versa Note model range. For the new model year, the Versa Note will also come in performance-oriented SR, and a top-of-the-range SL trim levels. The SR version was recently showcased at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show.
The exterior styling has been subtly improved thanks to a new grille, smoked headlights and fog lights, new rear spoiler, all-season tires, 16 inch aluminum wheels and SR badges. The model comes with eight exterior color options: Brilliant Silver, Magnetic Gray, Super Black, Metallic Blue, Red Brick, Aspen White, Metallic Peacock and MorningSky Blue.
Moving on to the cabin of the car, the SR model gets a Nissan 370Z inspired leather wrapped steering wheel, 6 way power adjustable front seats, Bluetooth connectivity, suedelike seats featuring orange accents, AM/FM/CD/Aux-in audio system with 4 speakers, 12-volt power outlet, front door pockets with bottle holders, dual front and rear cupholders and front seatback pockets and more.
The range topping SL offers a long list of features such as 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, variable intermittent front wiper, heated front seats, Nissan Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, Easy Fill Tire Alert and SL badge.
As far as the safety of the occupants is concerned, the models will equip Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS), front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags, roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with optional Easy-Fill Tire Alert.
Powering the two models is the same 1.6-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine featuring dual fuel injection and Twin CVTC. The engine produces 109 hp at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 107 lb-ft at 4,400 rpm. It comes mated to a standard next-generation Nissan Xtronic transmission.
