2015 Chrysler 200 Mid-Size Sedan: Features, Specs and Price

For the first time, Chrysler attempted to draw some attention in the mid-size sedan segment and all it’s efforts have been well appreciated. The latest product from the American major, the Chrysler 200, was well received when it was first unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show and it seems be giving the brand a new direction.

The 200 is completely new in all senses and comes with some of the latest and segment-first offerings. Under the beautiful design of the new 200 is an interesting configuration comprising of a segment-first 9 speed automatic transmission, an Alfa Romeo chassis, an innovative all wheel drive system, and a choice of two great engines.

The design of Chrysler 200 gets the new face of the brand featuring an updated Chrysler badge, LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps, optional LED daytime running lamps, a coupe-like profile, 19-inch Hyper Black aluminum wheels, integrated dual exhausts, gloss black side windows surrounds and more.

The interior of the car has been crafted with high quality materials and features a lot of details. The inside of the car gets a new center console, a 7 inch LED instrument panel with bezel surrounds that displays turn-by-turn navigation, speed, time, fuel economy and more. Chrysler is also offering the Uconnect multimedia system featuring a 8.4 inch touchscreen.

Chrysler has put two engines on offer with the new 200 – a new 2.4 liter MultiAir2 Tigershark l-4 engine and the award-winning 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 engine. The new 2.4 liter MultiAir2 Tigershark l-4 four cylinder heart is capable of producing 184 hp and peak torque of 173 lb.-ft. Compared to the outgoing 4-cylinder engine, it offers 6 percent improvement in power and 10 percent improvement in torque. The more powerful 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 develops segment-best 295 hp and peak torque of 262 lb.-ft. Complementing the potent engines is a best-in-class AWD (all wheel drive) system.

Safety and security of the passengers has been seriously considered, thanks to the long list of features available on the 200. To name some we have Adaptive Cruise Control Plus, Full speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, ParkSense Park Assist, electronic park brake with SafeHold, ParkView, Rear Cross Path Detection, blind spot monitoring, LATCH child seat anchors and much, much more.


The pricing of the all new 2015 Chrysler 200 starts from f $21,700, excluding $995 destination charges.
