BMW has launched the all 2015 Model Year BMW ALPINA B6 Gran Coupe. In the month of April, the new BMW ALPINA B6 Gran Coupe will make its North American debut at the International Auto Show which will be held in New York. Shortly after the official debut, the car will go on sale for $118,225, which includes the $925 handling and destination charge.
Starting with the engine first, the B6 Gran Coupe is powered by the 4.4 liter ALPINA Bi-Turbo V8 unit which is capable of putting out 540 horses and peak torque of 540 lb-ft. Mated to the powerful engine is an 8 speed Sport auto transmission featuring ALPINA Switch-Tronic. Complementing the engine-transmission pair is BMW’s renowned xDrive all wheel drive system and with the help of all these systems together, the B6 ALPINA Gran Coupe records a 0 to 60 mph sprint time of 3.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 198 mph.
ALPINA has also added its own exhaust system which has been carefully tuned for the B6. The ALPINA exhaust system has a deep exhaust note coming out of dual elliptical tailpipes. The car also comes with Active Roll Stabilization technology and Electronic Damping Control which work in conjunction with the xDrive Intelligent all wheel drive system.
The ALPINA B6 has an aerodynamic design that comprises of various elements which are not only visually appealing but functional as well. The car features a set of 20 inch ALPINA CLASSIC twenty one spoke wheels and a front apron with integrated splitter elements for directing airflow to the sides and over the body.
The interior of the car is just as special thanks to the host of ALPINA exclusive elements. The steering wheel and door sills are wrapped in LAVALINA leather as standard while customers can also go with Piano Black trim or ALPINA Myrtle wood which are available as an optional extra. Furthermore, ALPINA will also offer a wide range of equipment and personalization options.
The ALPINA B6 Gran Coupe will come in two exterior color options: ALPINA Green and ALPINA Blue.
