Audi’s highly popular Q3 SUV is going to be added to the brand’s American range soon. Audi is going to debut the 2015 Q3 at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, and the car will arrive in the US in the fall of 2014 to join the already successful Q5 and Q7. The Q3 is a well balanced machine offering advanced features, ideal performance and excellent driving dynamics.
“Coming off the recent A3 family announcement we are now for the first time entering into the premium compact class of SUVs with the introduction of the Audi Q3 into our line-up,” said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. “Our growing SUV family will now offer three distinct products in the premium SUV category; and like the successful Q5 and Q7, the Q3 will continue with the established standards they started with regards to utility, technology, craftsmanship and performance.”
The 2015 Q3 comes with standard features like panoramic sunroof with power retractable sunshade, Audi xenon plus front lighting with LED DRLs and taillights, heated 12-way power front seats, leather upholstery, Audi advanced key and more. The Q3 will be powered by a standard 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder engine that produces 200hp and 207 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a standard six speed Tiptronic transmission.
As standard the power via the transmission is provided to the front wheels, however Audi will also offer the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. There is also an optional Audi drive select system that allows drivers to alter the handling and responsiveness. The driving modes include Comfort, Dynamic, and Auto.
Talking about the exterior of the Q3, it features side mirrors with integrated sport LED turn signals, aluminum hood and tailgate, signature wedge-shaped xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, electrically operated tailgate, a low roof line, standard 18 inch wheels with optional 19 inch design and more.
Coming to the interior the Q3 offers 16.2 cu ft. of luggage capacity which can be increased to 48.2 cu ft., LED interior lighting, illuminated doors, foot wells, vanity mirrors, storage compartments, BOSE Surround Sound system, front airbags, thorax-pelvis side airbags, side curtain head airbags, safety belt tensioners, Audi head restraint system, Audi MMI navigation plus with 7.0-inch display, and more. The car also comes with plenty of driving and safety systems seen on its elder siblings.
