Audi has enjoyed great success at the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, also known as DTM, in the recent years. In 2011, Martin Tomczyk won the title at the race event while Mike Rockenfeller bagged the same title in year 2013. So for 2014, Audi is as positive to win the event as it was earlier and for the same the German manufacturer has revealed the new livery.
The 2014 Audi RS5 DTM was unveiled a few days ago at the Geneva Motor Show and today the German giant has revealed the latest version of its yellow-green color scheme. Called Schaeffler Audi RS 5 DTM, it is the first of the total of eight liveries the brand is going to compete the 2014 DTM in. Audi has retained the basic colors but made the body contours even more dynamic.
Talking about the new race car, it features a number of improvements including enhanced aerodynamics and plenty of tweaking under the carbon fibre body. The 2014 season of the German racing series will start in Hockenheim and Audi has confirmed its schedule. The new machine will be tested on the Hungaroring in Budapest from 31st of March to April 3rd. And from April 14 to 17, the main practice sessions will be held at Hockenheimring.
Mike Rockenfeller, the driver who is going to be behind the wheel of the new car says, “I was thrilled as soon as I saw the initial designs but the car itself looks even more impressive. I’m incredibly excited about my first DTM season with ‘#1’ emblazoned on the car and can hardly wait for the next track tests to start.”
