The new 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class has new 4-cylinder models with best improvement in terms of power, performance and efficiency as compared to previous models. Now, the improved diesel engine with two variant A 180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and A 200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with 6-speed manual as well as 7G-DCT 7-speed automatic transmission. The improved 180 CDI diesel model generates a horsepower of 109 i.e 80 kilo-Watt. The improved 200 CDI diesel engine produces a horsepower of 170 i.e 125 kilo-Watt. The improved 180 CDI diesel engine has a torque of 191.7 lb-ft i.e 260 Nm while the improved 200 CDI generates a torque of 258.1 lb-feet i.e 350 Nm. In one hand the two diesel models are much improved modals than the previous ones, on the other hand, the efficiency in terms of mileage and CO2 emission is really improved to meet the current demand of market and environment.
The new 180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY diesel engine has a much improved mileage of 26.3 kilometers/liter and the new 200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY diesel engine has also a improved mileage of 23.2 kilometers/liter. The new 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class models has defined improved meanings to the petrol models. The improved A 200 BlueEFFICIENCY petrol model has now capable of producing a horsepower of 156 i.e 156 kilo-Watt and the top petrol BlueEFFICIENCY A 250 model with 7G-DCT is capable of generating 211 horsepower i.e 155 kilo-Watt, which is quite powerful than the previous petrol models. On the performance part, the petrol Class A 200 engine, has a fuel mileage of 18.5 kilometers/liter and top petrol model has a fuel efficiency of 16.4 kilometers/liter, which is achieved through better aerodynamic design of car. The efficiency in terms of CO2 reduction is quite improved in both petrol variants, which is 127 gram CO2/kilometer in A 200 petrol modal and 143 gram CO2/kilometer in top petrol model.
